Jeans for Genes Day
Timothy Hackworth Primary will be taking part in this year’s Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 22nd September.
1 in 25 children has a genetic disorder that makes their life very difficult. We are taking part in the Jeans for Genes fundraising event to help support services for children affected by a genetic disorder in the UK and also in support of one of our families who have a child with a genetic disorder.
All children and staff are invited to wear their jeans on Friday 22nd September to help Jeans for Genes Day reach its target of £2million. We’d like everyone to take part so please send your child into school on the Day wearing their jeans and with a donation.
Jeans for Genes Day have a series of powerful five minute films to explain how your child’s donation will make a difference. Each film provides a compelling and personal insight, introducing some amazing children living with genetic disorders, sharing first-hand what life is like with their condition. Please visit jeansforgenes.org/getinspired for more information and to view these films.
If you’d like to find out more about how our support will help, please visit their website at jeansforgenes.org.
