As part of our involvement with the Sedgefield Partnership Project, Year 3 children have the opportunity to take part in a Dance Festival at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on Tuesday 26th March, 9.30am-12.00pm. Parents and Carers are very welcome to attend the event.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the very short notice of this event and for any inconvenience that this has caused parents and carers.
A huge well done to all our children who raised £97.56 for Save the Children.
We are very concerned about the horrifying ‘MOMO’ challenge which has been appearing in children’s YouTube videos, causing distress and panic. The challenge has been called the ‘suicide killer game’ and the scary doll-like figure sends children graphic violent images and asks them to partake in dangerous challenges. Please be extra vigilant when children are accessing the internet and if you require any further information on this, or online safety for children, the links can be found here: MOMO-Online-Safety-Guide-for-Parents-FEB-2019
If you haven’t already booked your place to see you Child’s teacher, please book a slot through the link that was sent via text message.
We have had and overwhelming response in our first week of breakfast bagels! The children are thoroughly enjoying them, so much so we have had to increase our order! A big thank you to all staff who have helped with this project, your hard work is appreciated.
Please note that today, 15 January, is the last day to apply for your child’s Primary School place. Further information or to make an application for admission is available at https://www.durham.gov.uk/schooladmissions
Please note – Works to reconstruct the lane to the rear of Ruskin Ave and Byerley Road are due to start on site Monday 7thJanuary and are expected to take 4 weeks to complete, subject to any adverse weather conditions. Due to both the nature of the works and the size of the machinery involved it is necessary to close the lane to both vehicles and pedestrians. Thank you.
