School Clubs (2023-2024)

CRC Article 15: All children have the right to meet with friends and join groups and clubs.

CRC Article 24:  All children have the right to take part in a wide range of activities to help them stay fit and healthy. 

CRC Article 31: All children have the right to learn and join in a wide range of educational, cultural and artistic activities. 

All of our clubs, that are led by school staff, are free of charge.

For further information about any of our clubs please ask at the School Office.

Gardening Club

Monday 3.30 – 4.25pm

Children in this club will enjoy planting, growing vegetables and tending to our allotment.
Years 1 – Year 6


Let’s Get Cooking Club

Tuesday 3.30-4.45 in the Children’s Centre.

The aim of the club is to teach young people and their families cooking skills, preparing plenty of tasty dishes that can be taken home and, hopefully, made again.


Year 4, 5 and 6 Homework Club

Wednesday 3.30-4.25

The children will receive support with their homework from our very experienced staff.

Brilliant Board Games Club

Thursday 3.30-4.25

In this club, children will enjoy playing a range of board games  to develop their interpersonal, turn-taking and logical skills.
Reception – Year 6

The Shildon Supremes Choir

Monday 3.30-4.25

The children will enjoy singing a range of contemporary songs and will perform for a range of audiences.

Table Tennis

Tuesday 3.30-4.25
Children will learn to play table tennis with their friends.
Year 3 – Year 6


Forest School

Thursday 3.30-4.25

Children will enjoy exploring the outdoors with staff trained in ‘Forest School’.

The Samba Drumming Superstars

Thursdays 3.30-4.25

Children will have great fun learning to play the Samba drums and performing to an audience.
Year 3 – Year 6

Newspaper Club

Monday 3.30-4.25

Children will keep track of current events and develop their writing skills. They will enjoy using technology and taking photographs to produce our school newspaper.
