2 Year Free Play and Learn Applications – September 2020 eligibility

Due to the current circumstances surrounding the Covid19 pandemic we are unable to send out Golden Tickets to those families with eligible 2 year olds for September 2020.
Parents can still apply via the Parent Portal which can be found on the DCC Website. To prevent any delays in processing applications we are encouraging all parents to apply via the Portal to ensure an immediate result.

At present under government rules, only those children who are eligible to attend under the DfE vulnerable children list or Critical Workers with no alternative childcare can attend schools and settings.

Parents requiring a funded two year place will be asked to complete an online application via the Parent Portal. They may require support in doing this.

The childcare team are available at childcare@durham.gov.uk to answer any queries from both providers and parents.
