SMSC Gold Award

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to be able to share our fabulous news with you, in that we have achieved our Gold Level SMSC Quality Mark Award! SMSC means ‘Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education’ which is an important part of the curriculum, as part of overall Personal Development, alongside links to the academic curriculum also.

This is a significant achievement for our school, and demonstrates our continued commitment to children growing up as respectful, independent, responsible and tolerant young citizens, making a positive difference to our school, our local community and the wider world.

We are incredibly proud of our school community, where each and every child, staff member and Governor in school, has contributed to this amazing achievement. With special thanks to Mrs. Slattery, our SMSC Lead, who has led our SMSC Award journey with such enthusiasm. Thank you also for your continued support and commitment to our school. We appreciate it.

I have attached our SMSC Gold Level Report for you to read. We hope that you enjoy reading it as much as we did!
